Treatment of Cognitive Problems due to a Brain Injury

We utilize the Brain Power cognitive skills training program which is comprised of the most sophisticated treatment methods designed to facilitate recovery of lost cognitive skills due to a brain injury.  Brain Power treats problems with fine and gross motor coordination, visual-motor integration, visual and auditory processing, speech problems, language processing, attention and concentration, memory, and reasoning.

Treatment of Neurobehavioral Problems due to a Brain Injury

Brain injuries can result in a variety of changes in emotional and behavioral functioning including poor regulation of emotions (i.e., frustration, anger, sadness), poor social judgment and impaired  awareness of self and others.  The doctors at Brain Power are specialists in treating these problems.

Neuropsychological Evaluation

Neuropsychological testing is one of the most sensitive way to identify brain dysfunction and provides great detail regarding an individual's cognitive strengths and weaknesses.  This information can then be used fro treatment planning purposes.

Neuropsychiatric Evaluation

A neuropsychiatric assessment provides insight into the personality and behavior changes caused by a brain injury.  From this assessment, a treatment plan can be developed which may include individual and family therapy, social skills training, and medication.

Family Support

The doctors and clinical staff an Brain Power recognize that the family of a brain injured individual have also suffered a trauma and loss.  A family support group is offered that is designed to assist family members in understanding the effects of a brain injury and the recovery process.
